ICOM Exhibitions Annual Conference – Momentum: Exhibitions and Memory

Dates: 29 September to 2 October 2024 Venue: Estonian National Museum, Tartu, Estonia The 2024 annual conference is in partnership with the International Coalition of Sites of Conscience and ICOM Estonia and will be hosted by the Estonian National Museum in Tartu. We are delighted to attend Tartu, the 2024 European Capital of Culture! https://tartu2024.ee/en/ The theme of the conference is Momentum: Exhibitions and Memory. It will allow big conversations, expansive questions, and new ideas. Each day has a theme and will start with a moderated discussion between two international keynote speakers, followed by concurrent sessions and workshops. Three afternoons will be dedicated to organised visits to local museums where participants will have the opportunity to explore, learn, and discuss how museums in Estonia produce exhibitions and serve their community in new and different ways. The conference will also feature the ever-popular Traveling Exhibitions Marketplace along with a series of traveling exhibition workshops and sessions.
