ENIGMA’s Coordinator Professor Charalampos Georgiadis participated in the AURORA Project “Training School on Digital Identity, Novel Chemical Markers, and Tracking Systems to Counteract Illicit Trafficking of Artworks”, which took place from 21 to 24 October 2025 at the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in Sarajevo.
ENIGMA has been invited to participate in the roundtable jointly with ANCHISE Project (Horizon Europe).
This international event, focused on digital identity, innovative chemical markers, and tracking systems to combat the illicit trafficking of cultural artefacts offered a great opportunity for ENIGMA to:
- Participate in the roundtable “Building a Network to Fight Illicit Trafficking of Cultural Artefacts” alongside other key European initiatives.
- Exchange knowledge with early-stage researchers on advanced conservation techniques, digital technologies, and blockchain applications in cultural heritage.
- Strengthen its commitment to protecting cultural heritage and fighting illicit activities through European cooperation.
This experience was highly valuable for our team, reinforcing our vision of a future where technological innovation and collaboration help preserve the world’s art and history.
