ENIGMA Workshop for Museum Curators and Experts

ENIGMA organizes a series of workshops for various stakeholder groups, whereby this workshop specifically targets museum curators/experts. Representatives of the ENIGMA consortium will attend together with museum curators/experts to garner insight into the validity of the preliminary ENIGMA tools.

Based on the roundtable discussions, the feedback provided helps ENIGMA to refine its tools and provide better professional services for the museum sector. 

The workshop first introduces the ENIGMA project, provides an overview of the technological tools that ENIGMA developed and then invites the participants to share their views and opinions on the tools developed according to the following tentative agenda:

14.00h Introduction of ENIGMA and aims of the workshop (5 mins)

14.05h Presentation of ENIGMA platform and tools:

  • General presentation of the ENIGMA platform and design (10 min)
  • The UAI concept: provides a novel concept for artefact identifiers (10 min)
  • Provenance Research tool: investigates origins of unknown artefacts (10 min)
  • Earth Observation toolkit: monitors disruptions of heritage sites via satellite data (10 min)
  • Scenario Building Engine: maps operational processes to respond to illicit activities (10 min)
  • 3D CG reconstruction: impromptu creation of 3D models from (2-5) 2D images (10 min)
